Worknetting

In an age of new buzzwords, the term "worknetting" is a way of emphasising the importance of networking as part of any professional practice. While MYSA is an association, we are at our best when we work in ways that feed into and benefit from our connectedness. Often times, networking is perceived as an activity that is an adjunct to our practice. Participating in worknetting means that we understand that everything we do in a network space is a means of getting our core business done.

Posting units of work, comments, ideas and answers to questions is a way of reinforcing the strength of your core work. As our new website develops, we'll be providing some unique opportunities for members to connect with one another and collaborate across regions, systems, structures and international boundaries.

MiddleWeb

In an online environment where there is often too much information and too little knowledge, it is refreshing to find a website that provides a lot of answers for no cost. This website contains a lot of interesting stuff, and best of all - it's free.

MYSA on YouTube

Sharing ideas online is one of the best ways of conducting quick and effective PD. If an idea is worthwhile, it should be possible to communicate the heart of it in as little as 10 minutes. The following two videos are examples of this at work.

MYSA in Facebook

While it is sometimes easy to get swept up into fads, the growing number of people using Facebook to keep track of their social connections provides us with an opportunity to connect in new ways. To this end, MYSA has launched a Facebook fanpage to encourage more pre-service and in-service teachers, administrators and academics to stay in touch and share their knowledge.

If you're already a Facebook user, you can join the group here.
